Hello, anyone ever heard of a leaking Vanagon ,Bosh fuel pump? I mean leaking at the connector section. Not from a filter. I searched the archives from May 2000. I found 422 mentions of fuel pumps. Most were for noisy pumps. non for leaking cases. There is an o-ring that seals the end up. Never seen one leak, myself.Roger

Sorry to say they do leak. From corrosion where the steel metal strap touches the Aluminium casing around the middle. Guess the Germans did not know that steel and aluminium were not supposed to touch one another. Then they can leak from the crimped end, there's an O-ring in there that goes bad, once again from corrosion of the aluminium. I have successfully repaired both scenarios.
