I had a two speed automatic Garrelli(legally a moped I guess) back in
the late 70's until a little s**t stole it while I was jogging at a
high school track. I still ave the key for the steering column
lock(that I DIDN'T employ that fateful night) as a reminder. Got 187
MPG with it on one "road" trip at 30MPH. It had a roller bearing
crank and the sales guy said they would run 12-13k rpm all long.
