I played a baritone horn and a string bass in junior high and high school. Was a submarine sonar tech and diver (22 years in the Navy) and now own a life ins agency in Hawaii and a securities broker/dealership in Maine. My artsy stuff is mostly confined to making models (flying and HO railroad). I couldn't be a hippy as I joined the Navy in '59 and was restricted to short hair and mainstream clothing until I got out in '81. By then it was too late ... though I did own a '64 splittie while on active duty. I just couldn't paint flowers on it and still drive through a Navy base security gate. Here is a short story I wrote entitled, "New Year's Eve". http://mysite.verizon.net/~collum/newyear.html Mike |
