The switch is normally open, closed at closed and wide open throttle. If it
really failed, make sure the wires to it and the auxiliary air regulator are
not switched. An easy wa y to check is to measure the voltage at the
connecters. 5 v is for the switch. 12v is for the heater in the air
regulator.
