Edward, This is Sam who is black, originally from Toronto, Canada now in Palo Alto CA, and am still the first and only proud owner of a 1984 white Westfalia bought at Owasco Volkswagen in Ontario Canada April 7th '84. Presently it has 273,000 miles on the odometer and working on the second engine from a wrecker in San Jose for $89.00. All miles were personally driven by myself since it has a standard gearbox of which most women are afraid. The dealer has never seen this vehicle since the warranty ran out in 1985 thanks mainly to great tips from "The List"!! A million "Thank Yous" to the brains here - I never could have done it without them!! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!

Sam
