I'm not sure how often this happens to other folks, but i'm sorta a niche vanagon guy (diesel, AW, ASI) so i see it quite often.

for example in may you'll see vanagon A, with a description of the problems, etc. After about 6 months, sometimes less, but it's usually between 6 and 8 months later, you see the same van up again. usually a similar price, couple new parts (waterprump, breaks, whatever), even short description of the problems.

i actually like when this happens, if you keep goog records you can shoot an email to the old owner and ask them what was REALLY wrong with it. Vanagon guys are usually pretty honest, non-vanagon people on the other hand ... well, you know how this can be. original owner tells you it burns 1qt of oil every 500 miles, new owner tells you "typical vanagon oil leak"

so tell me, how many times have you seen the same vanagon up for sale.
