Subject: A Special Holiday Story
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

It's the time of the year when some of us will object to the different expressions of the holiday that are displayed in public places. And in some cases there are lawsuits over what should and should not be displayed.

But no matter what your ethnic background or religious persuasion, there is a story that remains poignant and appropriate year after year. That is the story of how the angel got to its traditional place atop the Christmas tree. Here is that story:

It was a terrible, dismal Christmas Eve at the North Pole. The fog was dense, the reindeer were all sick, the elves were uncooperative and most of the toy machines were broken. Santa struggled to do what he could to save the holiday but was fast approaching his wits' end.

Then a delicate little angel appeared at the front door, dragging a Christmas tree and asked, "Santa, where do you want me to put this Christmas tree?"

SBT Tom
