In this day and age it is easy to find out....

Mur is how it is pronounced.

I knew before I checked that it was another of those incense or spices of the Red Sea region. A look see reveals:

An aromatic gum resin obtained from several trees and shurbs of the genus Myrrhis or Commiphora, found in India, Arabia and eastern Africa.
