Good point!  I recall the same problem with my 84 a number of years ago, now
that you reminded me.  I think the pedal even got stuck in the carpet.


A good preventative tip for all of us.

Besides the cable run itself, check under the pedal.  Take
the protective box off underneath.  A lot of crud can build
up in there where the pedal works a level to pull the cable.
