I was on a photo shoot with a photographer a month or so ago. We were
in Alabama's Talledega National Forest in my westy for three days.
The first thing that happened is that one of those puck lights rolled
out of the rear hatch unnoticed and got stepped on by a camping boot.
It wouldn't turn off. It was on for all three days! It was still on
for the fourth day when I got back. I took it apart and used the
handle of a knife to smooth out the dents in the aluminum housing and
the switch functioned again. The sticky stuff on the back had enough
dirt and grit on it that it wouldn't hang anymore, so I epoxied a
magnet to it and now it's my westy's sliding door interior light.

I figured that anything that tenacious was worth saving. The ones
with stickum make great westy cabinet lights, BTW.
