ETKA is ambiguous and since they went from microfiche (which the listings were 99.99% correct) to the electronic format (which has consistently had errors in all it's versions), one has had to learn to "read between the lines" and go from personal experience.

1.9's had screw-in sensors thru 85. 2.1's have slip-in sensors held in by a clip.

1.9 Screw In Sensors: 025-906-041 A = Single Pin Temp Sensor for ECU (Blue) (Bosch 0280130026) 049-919-501 = Single Pin Temp Sensor for Gauge

2.1 Slip In Sensors: 025-906-041 A = 2 Pin Temp Sensor for ECU (Blue)(Non Bosch), 86-91 251-919-501 = 2 Pin Temp Sensor for Gauge (Black), 86-87 251-919-501 D = 2 Pin Temp Sensor for Gauge (Green/Black), 88-91 (NOTE: Formerly 251-919-501 A) The 501A/D will replace the 501 PLAIN if the connector is changed as well.

Temp Sensors 101 is now dismissed for the holiday ;-) -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *Have a Happy & SAFE Holiday* ********************************** On 12/22/06, Kevin Mulligan <mulligan_kevin@yahoo.com> wrote: > > ETKA is ambiguous in this regard, as it shows the following: > > - Thermal switch (aka Temp 2 gauge), two part numbers: 251 919 369 and 025 > 906 041A.
