Subject: Fix for Stebro Muffler Bracket breaking?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed;
              x-avg-checked=avg-ok-6D2819F4

Dear Listees: Has anyone that bought one of Mr. Condelli's Stebro Stainless steel mufflers had trouble with the thin brackets cracking where it's welded to the muffler? Mine has separated from the muffler on the passenger side bracket which is likely over-stressing the driver's side bracket.

Question number two: Is there some advice on how to repair this either on the vehicle or removing it.... is a beefier bracket going to help or is the thin nature of the original there to allow some movement unlike the factory brackets. If welding is involved, which type of welding wire/rod should be used with this type of stainless steel?

Thanks in Advance,

DM&FS
