The women in my family, starting with my wife, will drive standard.

Little did she know when she moved here from Austria that she would not only drive a manual up the hills of Aiea on Oahu as her first driving experience, but drive a fully loaded vanagon through wind blown valley exiting through the east of Yosemite with gusts of 70-80 mph.

The bucking and my temper when I was teaching her was no fun, but there will be no automatic transmissions in this family.
