Exactly. As a third-generation native Californian (betcha don't see many of those)(I'm often not proud of it, either), I find that many of our fair state's regulatory heavy-hand can be very stupid at times. But OTOH, live here for awhile, deal with some of the people you may run across and you might find out there can be a need for some of the rules. Someday soon I'll get fed up and move to hopefully a less stupid culture and mind-set.
