Malcolm,

Bernd is an okay guy and has a pretty nice shop (I've been there twice), however, when it comes to "THE GUY" in europe for diesel conversions... his name is Thomas Hahn. His company, HA-Projekt has been doing some really cool stuff for years. The difference between the two is that Hahn takes things to the next level. He did the design and development to allow the use of an Audi Triptronic tranny in the T3, which is the only way to go when putting in the V6 TDI. Oh yeah, he also was the first to put a V6 TDI in a T3. His web site sucks (http://www.ha-projekt.de/), but his work is top notch.

Cheers,

Jeff

How about Diesel conversions: Bernd Jäger is THE guy in Europe: http://www.syncro-bernd-jaeger.de/ENGLISH/TDI-Umbau/tdi-umbau.html Sorry, he does not give ground clearance. If the new Subaru diesel is not suitable for vanagon transplant, I'll have Berd put a TDI into my van next time I take my van to Europe. m
