RE: Who drives Vanagons? I'm sure that most reading this list are also familiar with the WetWesties, many subscribe to that list also. If you want to answer the question of Who Drives VW Buses and Vanagons? show up at one of the WestWesties camp outs. You'll find that there is no single answer to the question. One might guess that the older members would be driving the restored Splitties and Bays, the younger people in the Vanagons. It's just the opposite in most cases. We have 18 and 20 year olds showing up in their Splitties, old f**ts like myself in '90 Vanagon Westies. And a full mix in between. BTW, many of the older people driving Vanagons have a long history with Buses, they just think of the Vanagon as the natural evolution of the Bus and like the more advanced features, like heat! And the range of eduction, experience, income level etc. is all across the board. So who and what type drive Vanagons? Just about any type you can imagine.
