hi ron.. im sorry you misconstrued my post.. i dont believe i used your name, or Busdepot's name in my post at all (you may want to go back and check) . i knew about Just Kampers selling them (which is the reason i posted the heads up) but wasnt even aware you were selling them until a listmember told me yesterday. no need to fire off at the hip against me.

my point was that Just Kampers (as far as i am aware, BusDepot and Just Kampers are not the same company, or am i wrong?) sells the aftermarket repop one that is the '79 down bus style, and modifies it to fit the vanagon (perhaps they "tweak" it, not the customer). the '79 down bus style being the one with 3 mounting screws on the center post, and a "spade' shaped base. which is not the same style as the vanagon one.

am i right or am i wrong? please do check, after the holidays, in your free time, of course.. and please do post a pic to your website (i noticed your only pic is of the bus ones).. maybe you can prove me wrong.. as far as minutiae.. well you think if someone was going to repop a period acessory, they would at least try to be as close to the original as possible.. i think we can all agree on that..not use something from another model.. that was my only point.

i wasnt "slamming" Just Kampers product, but i do have a problem with how they were trying to pass it off as a vanagon one when the two are obviously different.

anyway, once again im sorry you misconstrued my post as being a jab at busdepot...like i said there was no mention of you or busdepot..

and ron, im sure you can sell all your "precious" jailbars as well. just think of this as good advertising for Busdepot!

Merry christmas all!! Jingle Bars and all that good stuff

chris
