Hey, do Russian Jews get to celebrate Russian Orthodox Christmas? :-)
Hmm, maybe the DC area vanagon winter party should be for Orthodox
Christmas, instead of just winter!
(Yeah, I know, no one ever posted about the wonderful holiday party we had
in Rock Creek Park! It was attended by a select group of six people, five
vanagons, one really cute dog, and way too much food. And we all had a nice
time. But we agreed that a winter party, with more advance planning, was a
good idea.)
Or is January 7 too soon and you need more advance planning than that?
Instead, we could have a party the following weekend by the Wilson Bridge,
and see if we can use mental telepathy to communicate with the vanagonauts
by that much warmer bridge on the other side of the country! Just call it
BBtOB - buses by the other bridge? Of course that would be MLK weekend,
probably a holiday weekend - does that mean you'll all be out of town doing
more fun stuff?
Or maybe we need a mid-Atlantic BBtB event of our own! How about by the
Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel - now that's a serious bridge! On the island
in the middle, of course. :-) That would be really cool - well, maybe a
little too cool in January.
Okay, enough drivel - but is anyone interested in a winter party sometime in
January?
Joy
