I smooshed roofing compound on the underside of all that single-thickness
metal in the fenderwell/step area and it has made a HUGE difference in the
noise level when driving in the rain.
I haven't tried touching it but I bet the quarter-inch layer of tar has
added to the separation between interior and exterior temperatures.
