I just finished installing the new muffler and rear pipe and now have an = exhaust leak around the right head connection. Which way do you install = the gaskets with the metal end toeard the heat or vice versa? How much = tension is tolerable in the rear pipe?

The gaskets go metal side to the head. Unless you have removed the studs, on the side with studs, and made sure both mating surfaces are flat and clean then you will have a problem with leaks. I also use Loctite Copper High Temp RTV sealant on the gaskets. The torque on the header flange bolts, yes, bolts, stainless steel ones, in ALL locations, is 18 ft. lbs.
