A general observation on using alternative hoses for cooling system lines. I have had great success using Goodyear 5/16" Automatic Transmission coolant hose for the short runs to and from the plastic loop that circles the engine bay. It should handle the coolant temps since the ATF gets at least that hot and pressure shouldn't be an issue. And you can use any hose clamp you wish. the hose is very HD. And reasonably priced compared to the silicone stuff. I guess I'm only slightly off topic here.
