For me, I ALWAYS depress the clutch before I turn the key. That's a
practice that was learned the hard way but now I never forget it. As for
being paranoid about forgetting things, at my age (I'll be 60 this
month) it's no longer just a matter of paranoia.

I was taught to leave my vehicles in gear, but after I married and began
driving farm tractors and motorcycles I always need to remember to park
those in neutral. I always have to think about it - kinda funny, but

older I get the more paranoid I am about forgetting things!
