In that you'd have to remove the 2 Phillips screws to change the board (and wires as well) it would be much easier just to elongate the holes in the board and move it over a bit. That'll work every bit as well as a new board.

I don't know of any source for a replacement board. There are companies that rebuild AFMs but I've never looked inside one to see if that board was replaced.

Several years ago, on my '84, I experienced occasional stumbling at highway speed and I opened up the AFM only to determine that the track worn by the wiper hadn't gone completely through, so, I cleaned it really well and put it back together. I haven't had the problem since.

BTW, when you put the top back on the AFM, I recommend that you seal it only from the outside. If you smear all the mating surfaces with RTF or some such, you might never get that top back off in one piece.
