Yep. That's what got me interested in the stuff.

I'd still like to hear from someone who has used _this exact product_, and how things turned out for them.

I've gotten a few comments from people who are obviously speaking in generalities, and making invalid assumptions. One called it "tar shit." It isn't, it's a bitumen (asphalt) emulsion, and asphalt is the traditional undercoating for cars. As a matter of fact, 3M Body Schutz, a well regarded undercoating, is asphalt based (but 8X the price and only recommended for spray application). Another referred to something "gold-silver colored" (Kool Seal is black).

VW used some sort of undercoating material during manufacture, then painted over the top. Anyone _know_ what that was?
