So how many of you here have experienced roadside mechanical problems that required some big work or messed up your vacation? How did U handle it? Or are most road trips stress free?

I'm happy to say none. I've had issues, but nothing that has ever left me stranded. I HAVE, however, passed many a much newer vehicle than mine that was broken down on the side of the highway. I've always wondered how many of those folks had passed me on the highway prior to their breakdown and mumbled "Look at that old pile of sh*t, I'm amazed it still runs"... Jeff
