I have a Great Pyrenees(110 #+-), who loves to travel in the westy, but will only sit in back when the van is not moving! Otherwise, he prefers to sit on the floor in front of the front passenger seat, the space which is not as big as he is, & so the front of his body/head is actually between the 2 front seats! Dog hair everywhere! Seat belts no where! At nite, he sleeps on the floor in front of the bed, & only rarely does he come up on the bed w/ moi/us! I think you should consider the van as a dog crate, unless it is a chewer, in which case, good luck! So far, 3.5 years, no accidents, chewing etc. w/ Carl, but then he is the perfect dog! Nah, he has a real big bark!

I suppose you should start on kenneling the dog to make it the most obedient, well behaved dog, but then it's all dependent on how consistent, OC, you are, or want to be? Carl has done no damage to the westy, other than a lotta hair, a little mud, but I keep a fitted sheet on the bed, that allows him to go anywhere.

Carl will be entertaining at BBBXI next week.

Congrats on the new kewl dog!

Tom B.-wife thinks I like the dog more than her?
