BusDepot.com and GoWesty.com have spacers to give the crank a little more clearance.

I have some spacers that I got from another vendor that think offer a little more clearance than the kit from these vendors, but for the life of me I can't remember the vendor I got mine from. It was a vendor for hopped up parts for Golfs as I recall. Maybe someone can recall.

I don;t have any experience with the Go Westy or Bus Depot spacers. Just passing along the information.

From the catalogues the following is the pertinent information. I think the clearance works out to the same wich is relatively slight, but maybe enough.

Go Westy part # GVW-SPACERKIT $35 added clearance: 7mm

Bus Depot part # 155898595 $27 added clearance: 9/32"
