I've used this in a friends cottage, and did a 10 x 11 room in less than 3
hours. Strong too, we took a hammer to a test piece and it didn't dent.
Costco has this available most of the time.

I was thinking about doing this too, but with the sort of inexpensive wood
laminate from Home Depot. Real oak would be a lot better though. My weather
conditions are mild enough that I might be able to use the laminate, but I
will investigate this further.
I moved from California last year, but I used to go reasonably frequently to
the lumber yards there, one excellent wood for this purpose was called
"iron-wood" dark but very hard and dense and a lot less expensive than oak.
I am not sure how easy it will be to find iron-wood in Texas.
I also thought some stringers running in the cross direction would be needed
to do this, but this detail was not in the link. Stringers or ply
underlayment.
I would like to ask how well this fits in with the metal edges, (metal lip)
especially around the van sliding door. And I was wondering how to attach
the flooring material to the van bottom pan - sheet metal screws? Didn't see
any indication of how the flooring was set into the van bottom pan - which
indicates very good craftsmanship.
Again my plan was to cover the wood floor center with one of those larger
rubber nylon carpet matts used commercially.
