Dot and I found the people of St. Pierre somewhat unfriendly towards us and quite expensive (everything was priced in Euro$). The only nice person in St. Pierre was in the tourist office. Newfoundlanders and Quebecers were way more friendly. We will not be visiting St. Pierre again.
