It'd be interesting to hook the VR3 up to your amps and see what that kind of setup could do for it. I doubt I'll get into that kind of money for what I have in mind, tho. Used to be a day when I'd take the long way home {or take a wrong turn and just keep goin' : ) }late at night just so I could crank something in the car and listen to it. These days it's more 'don't make me come back there', so I don't think I'll be worrying about audio fidelity issues for... oh, 16-18 years or so. Probably be near deaf by then anyway.

I think that flash drives will soon be as cheap (relatively) and as ubiquitous as cassettes once were. My home theater head even has a USB port. My wife filled up a 1 GB flash drive with Xmas music and it played... all.... day....

And to think that my first ride had an AM radio, an under-dash 8-track and an under-dash FM 'converter' doohickey. I think my grandkids will probably just have some kind of wireless brain implant- maybe it'll literally be a 'blue tooth' that'll go in where one of the molars used to be. The 'internet' will become the 'intermentalnet'. Ok, I'm scaring myself now. Could you imagine all those MySpace (BrainSpace?) idiots right there in your head? *shudder*

Cya, Robert
