Jack, If you plan on using higher wattage bulbs you must have a bigger amperage realy kit installed. This would have eliminated the melting fuse box problem. Do a web search for Susquehanna Motorsports. They have the best prices on Hella Light bulbs, and are very nice people to deal with. They ship very fast. I would suggest the best place to get a real nice relay kit, but the last time I suggested using something from him I was run over here.

What the heck. Contact Terry Kay for the big amp relays. He has a very nice, and easy to install kit available and as far as I have found has the best price on the internet.

You can locate him at thesamba.com in the Vanagon parts section.

I think it actually took me 30 minutes and one cold beer to get the relays installed. It was an easy job.

Ron
