While I had my oxygen sensor replaced at a local
shop here in Mesa, AZ (Total German Auto. Svc.) The
mechanic there (Perry) said that most of the time
this kind of behavior indicates clogged injectors
and his fix is to have them cleaned using a heavy
duty injector cleaner. I don't recall the specific
injector cleaner but I'm sure you could find a
brand that would be able to do the job. If the
issue is not bad grounds or anything else Jon listed,
I'd go for cleaning the injectors.
In my case, it was the oxygen sensor and I've not
had any stalling problems since it was replaced.
But I new the history of the vehicle and was pretty
sure that the oxy sensor was what needed replacing.
Good Luck!
