Ok, so a bit ago I posted about my Vanagon Westy that caught fire, looking for parts. Several people suggested I look at going to a carburetor instead of trying to rebuild the fuel injection system. Has anyone done this? What sort of results? What are the pitfalls? I live in a county that does not require emissions, so that is not an issue, but what else is there? I assume I will need a new intake manifold - is this true? One person suggested one carb for each side - is that really needed? I am going to do some further research, of course, but if any experts out there have played with this, or done it,. I would be glad to hear of the experience.
