I have used the same bra on my air cooled van with stock grille, then air cooled with SA grille then Syncro with rectagular lights, then syncro with SA grille.

The bra I have had removable panels allowing the lower water cooled grille to be exposed and get air, and accomidate the antenna of the water cooled van.

The upper portion had headlight cutouts for the square lights and a screen covering the middle part. My high beams just shine through the screen no problem.

On another note, I recnetly went the permanent bra route by getting 3M paint protection film installed:
