Sometimes the winter fuel blends coupled with non-expected climate can
result in poorer MPG.

Does you van seem to run the same?

A belated Happy New Year to all . . . . I have an immediate need for help
troubleshooting a recent and untimely problem. Low gas mileage. Now, I
realize these are old vehicles (mine is an '86) and they drive more like a
truck. However, I really am not used to getting only 13 or 14 at most mpg on
her. I originally got maybe 17 or 18 mpg and cannot explain this drastic
change.  Help!?
       It's been a relatively warm winter here in Portland OR so I don't
crank the dashboard heat; I haven't used any auxiliary stuff that would be
gas guzzling; nor do I take her heavy duty intense driving. Just putter
around town. So - any hints and troubleshooting I can try before taking her
into the shop?  I change oil regularly, keep unleaded (not topped off) in
the tank and don't have a heavy foot ( on an '86 ??!!!) Thanx in advance -
