Yoshi,

I am running MB steel wheels on my Syncro and have been for several years. I got mine from Tire Rack before they quit selling them to Vanagon owners and then later discontinued them altogether.

They are ET37. IIRC lots of people are running ET37's, both MB and VW from Passats, without spacers and without problems.

I would put spacers on wheels like ET45, but haven't on the ET37. Some might disagree regarding the 37's.

The ET31 would be better, closer to stock, etc. Where did you get the ET31 C class MB steel wheels?
