Hola--

I've been driving by a Diesel Westy over on Dahlia St. just north of Arizona
St. in Denver (on the Glendale line).

The other day, I noticed a "for sale" sign, a very weathered, old sign at
that, in the back window so I stopped and wrote down the number.

This is one of those off-white colored Westies with pretty significant rust
on the left side along the seams and in the right rear wheel well.  It looks
like it's been sitting for quite some time.  The interior is in surprisingly
good shape.  The tires are old and not properly-rated.  It has a Grateful
Dead sticker on the back glass.

I called the owner, and she told me that it does not run; apparently it has
a bent rod.

She said she wants $1800.00 for it, although she sounded like she knew that
it was maybe a bit of an unrealistic price.  I think she'd be open to
offers.

It's a bit more of a project than I'm able to take on.  The rust kinda
scares me and my wife might leave me if I bring in another Vanagon.
