 Skate through the trees on a 1 km long Zamboni maintained ice.

 But in going over some of the mountian pass's in sub-zero blowing snow
 conditions  the snow would melt in the center of the windshield & freeze
around  3-4" of
 edges  of the windows making visibility a bit tricky we were making lots of
heat
 but the design of the heater ducts does not realy lend to covering the
entire windshield ...
 I have an idea to use some small diameter rubber fuel line & drill 1/8"
 holes 1/2" apart and duct them into the heater vents to pickup heat then
contact cement that
 hose around the perimter of the windshield  so that there would be even
heat distribution ...
 its kinda mickery mouse fix ...
 any body else who uses the van in winter prolly you other dot ca'sers do
you
 have slick set up to get heat
 evenly distibuted over the windshield so that there is no icing up at the
 edges
