I'll second the motion on Rainx. It is absolutely astounding to watch rain bead and run off even in heavy rain, especially when the vehicle is moving and there is some wind against the glass. I've never tried the washer fluid, I'll have to pick some up.

One warning about Rainex, picked up from the guy that was replacing my windshield. I'f you've used Rainex on the glass, the instant fix for rock chips won't work, won't bond to the silicone residue. There is supposed to be another product that works the same as Rainex and doesn't have that problem but I don't know what it is. Loren in rainy Puget Sound region
