Courtney,

The flame switch adjustment is most likely the reason . You shorten the after-run by turning the screw counter-clockwise.

It may be that the flame switch quartz rod is stuck or broken. If adjusting doesn't work, whacking it may break the quartz rod which expands with heat to turn off the glow plug, and contracts after cooling down to shut off the blower.

The switch could be worn out, or need cleaning, etc. I have spare flame switches for sale if needed.

O yeah, I have been working on gas heaters for 20 years. I have a lot of parts, and if you need to , you can send the heater here for service.

I probably should mention this on the list more often like a used to. I've been on this list for ten years and I guess I have assumed everyone knows I work on gas heaters.
