Instead of "any" maybe I should have said "highway" speeds. Is the tire at
least rated for 44 psi inflation? If not, than a likely cause of failure can
be a rupture after an impact such as a pot hole. A 215/70-14 standard tire
would have brought you up to 1554 lbs. base load rating or a 96 load index.

Dennis: about the tires,I'm running an un-loaded vanagon,without the center
seats,have been keeping 38-40 PSI all around,have had no handling
problems,are you shure I'm unsafe at any speed? I have less than 2K miles
on these tires...Mike
