Bondo... hey hey..Ok!

It all depend where you make the overlap! as n expemple, it's realy easy to
make the thickness disapear. Of course the skins are design that way, i hve
a tool that "file" the edge of the skin so it become extremly thin to make a
smoooth junction, anyway, there is no way out, there will always be a
junction. You will see later. I understand what you mean and will try yo
show you how easy it is.... and the fact is that anything will be way nicer
than a rotted panel :-)

I don't like the idea of the overlap. I'm sure over large areas, it can be
feathered sufficiently to make the thickness disappear but what about
smaller areas? Is there some good reason why one wouldn't crimp a recessed
flange on the surrounding sheet metal? Seems like it would make a tidier repair.

BTW, Benny, Bondo is a brand name, like it or not. :)
