  I had the exact same problem with mine. What's amazing is that it
didn't leak any oil. Finally i got tired of messing with it and got my
suction pump that i use on my boat and sucked the oil out thru the dip
stick tube. Don't laugh, it works. Then after about 3 oil changes i put
in a new zetech conversion and that's the end of that story.

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
