Great question! Can't wait to see the replies. It probably depends on each city's ordinances. When I had a parts V'gon, I had to have it towed 50 feet on a flat bed (the wheels didn't roll) to get it out of sight and into my garage. There I pulled all useful parts I could think of, then had it towed away and (sigh) crushed. Now I am using its beautifully running engine and am about to have all the rust-free doors installed and painted ... if I can bring myself to spend the $$ that would be enough to buy a whole new V'gon ... or a whole fleet of parts vans!!. Since trailors do not have to have insurance, what would it take to make this parts "storage" bin into a trailor: -tongue on the front -remove front wheels? -remove axles from outer wheels -etc.
Would that work? Great storage space (w/ slide door and hatch back doors) and the county might be OK w/ that?
