Have you tried (engine off) removing the plugs from the idle stabilizer
and plugging them together then starting the engine and adjusting the
idle for the proper speed, using the BIG screw in the throttle body,
then shutting down and restoring the plugs to the idle stabilizer?
That's always cured a hunting idle on my '84 and my '85.
