Hi Mike
Dont use pliers to had it will alot of time break the zipper then your hating it. what you want to do is:
1) find out what the zipper is running over. ( usually the canvas that it is sewn to or a flap)
2) take a NEW Sharp razor blade and CAREFULLY cut the flap or Canvas from in front of the zipper (front of zipper is forward to close the zipper) as close
as you can to the front of the zipper and as little as possible to "Walk" the zipper over the caught piece of canvas. You may need to lube the zipper and
zipper pull to get it to move. A small amount of Hand soap will lube it. DO NOT use Dish soap.
3) Take your time and Walk the zipper off of what it is caught on. once off of the area it was stuck on you can wash the hand soap off with warm water
and let dry . To close the cut IF canvas use tear mender sparingly and if vinyl use VLP to bond the cut. Both of these products I have in my shop and can
ship if you need them.
4) You owe me a 6 pack of fine micro brew for saving your canvas. Also other great products for protecting and maxing the life of your canvas are Iosso
water repellant spray (which has no Silicon to attract Soil, Zipper Lube to make your zipper last alot longer. Seam sealer for the pesky leaking seams if you
have one.
Hope this helps AND TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!

Re: How to sew screen in pop-top canvas? The Fix It s canvas and the zipper itself it stuck, very stuck. Tried pliers and no go.
I d like to replace it but don t know if that s possible. And sewing it would take a very long time.

Hi Mike
I have no info on a county homes top. I did fix one with needle and thread were a side seem came apart. but If I remember
right it was a vinyl top not canvas. I guess what you or I would need to know is what is the material made out of and is the
zipper bad and or if it is just a seam that has come apart where it was sewn. Let me know and I will try to give a better answer
for your needs. Thanks Jonce
