well i have seen 4 wheel trailers.. and i have also seen rabbit pickups (the bed part) made into trailers. and then i saw a 70's bus someone made into a trailer as well. so i guess its doable.. youd have to contact your local DMV and see what they need to change a title from a vehicle, to a trailer title..
