Subject: Re: Age of listees

Beetles cost $2400 in 1959? That sounds like a lot for the time. But then what do I know? I was only 5.

My first and maybe most distinctive car was a black 1949 Ford convertible, given to me at the ripe old age of 12 (me, not the car) and in turn given away by me at 14.

Ever wish you'd just stuck with that one first car, repairing and rebuilding as needed, rather than trading over and over? I must have owned 30 cars since then, and what are they but a mound of memories and repair bills?

Mais ou sont les voitures d'antan? Peut-etre chez Ben.

May we refer to you as "Pops"?
