Dan shall know by doing his homework. You know, reading The Bentley, asking some questions on the list, talking to other long-time owners.

By his post, as pointed out by Mark, he doesn't know the difference between crank seals and water gaskets, and is consequently angry and confused at the outcome of his rebuild experience.

Do I think the guy who installed the motor (not named in the post, by the way) should have stressed the importance of stopping immediately should the red light come on? Yes, I do! I have repeated this advice mantra for everybody I have let drive a car of mine.

Its way cheaper than a new engine.
