Hi All,

I'm wondering what the differences are between the OEM and aftermarket heater blower motors I've seen on some FLAPS web sites.

This job is such a bugger I wanna know if spending the extra $$$ is truly worth it.

Brian, I cannot comment on all the ones out there but the ones I sell I've never ever had a problem with. From my _Vanagon Items Forsale_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/sales.htm) webpage > Blower fan and motor, front heater, 8100, 251 819 015 - $58.75 CND. One of the ways to insure it's longevity is to glue a cover over the exposed end bushing before installing. That's the very first thing the dirty air from outside hits when entering the van. Other stuff to do is to clean up the mess of dirt you will find inside and to renew all the insulation on the air flaps.

Cheers,
